This is a test for Blanet Butt
Question:
This is a Test for Blanket Butt to see if the larger text shows up on the newsgroup as it shows up on the screen I’m typing in. But even if it doesn’t. It is quite large while I’m typing and should be easy for Blanket to read (18 pt. Arial Bold). All I did Blanket was to click on TOOLS in Outlook, then clicked on options. Then clicked on compose, changed the compose font size for news to 18 pt., Arial. Then I clicked on the SEND tab, and at the bottom changed the News from plain text to HTML. The only bad thing about doing that is, some people will not be able to see your post. But I hope this works and helps you Blankett! — Craig
Response:
Well it shows up on my server. Wow, that was big, but you could read it quite easily! Give it a try Blanket! — Craig

Wow, that was big, but you could read it quite easily! Give it a try Blanket! (snip) (snip) Craig, we can’t do those things with webtv. We can’t download anything. On our home page there is a (settings) that we can hit on to change our text size . small , medium or large. Blanketbutt,is your text size set to large. It only affects the way you see it, not your posts. I have mine set on small, but if yours is not set on large, it might help you to see it easier. THANK YOU FOR THE RESCUE STEVE. IT IS MY WISH FOR EVERYONE QUIT WORRYING ABOUT MY TYPE AND LETS GO ON TO SHARING KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SO WE CAN ALL BE BETTER FISHERMEN. SOME PEOPLE DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE LIMITATIONS OF WEB TV, DOWNLOAD INCAPABILITES, AND I THINK LESS PIXELS AND PROBABLY ONLY HALF THE SCREEN QUALITY OF A COMPUTER MONITOR.
Response:
Welcome to the group Blanky. I apologize for my past remarks. They were out of line. I especially realize this now that I understand more of your situation. No hard feelings I hope.

I ask this question out of extreme curiosity only: as cheaply as decent used computers can be purchased, why would anyone want to use Web TV? Again, I do not mean to appear arrogant or ignorant; I am simply very curious. — Bob Rickard SECRET WEAPON — World’s absolute finest spinnerbaits! All others are now obsolete . . . I ask this question out of extreme curiosity only: as cheaply as decent used computers can be purchased, why would anyone want to use Web TV? (snip) (snip) Well Bob, I have a few reasons. I never get a virus. I can’t accidently erase something. I have no repairs. I have a printer, and just bought a webtv plus., so now I can add a scanner, or load pictures from digital camera, vcr, camcorder or tv. I can add audio to my e-mails. Some of my family and friends that have computers are telling me how this broke or they have to upgrade this or that, a virus wiped out something, the kids deleted this, etc. I know you can buy decent used computers , but they always are obsolete in 6 months. Webtv does free upgrades about twice a year. All I have to do is hit upgrade now. I just paid (had my webtv classic 3 years) $199 for this webtv plus , but I get 6 months free access due to the promotion their running. Total cost $49. Unlimited usage, 6 user accounts, junk mail blocker, (no kill file or anything else that could confuse me) and a good support toll free aside from numerous faq pages and webtv newsgroups. And if I get in a hurry to leave all I have to do is hit power off and not have to shut down anythng first. It’s a no brainer to use. By the way, aren’t you glad you — Release em today so they can play again tomorrow. Practice CPR. catch photo release.

Bob, BB has informed me in a previous post, that he has internet at work on the network at his business, but after sitting infront of a computer monitor all day, he likes to relax at home and unwind in bed with his webtv, and that’s where he looks at ng’s. That’s why he doesn’t have a PC at home….. Let’s give him some slack, guys, and welcome him in. B3– Robert E. Longshore

STEVE I THINK I WILL FORWARD YOUR POST TO WEBTV. WITH A TESTIMONIAL LIKE YOURS YOU ARE GUARANTEED A POSITION AS VICE PRESIDENT. I HAVE THREE WEB TVS AND THREE COMPUTERS I OWN PERSONALLY. I WILL ADMIT THE GRAPHICS ARE NOT AS GOOD AS ON A COMPUTER MONITOR, BUT THE REASON I PREFER TO USE WEBB TV IS I CAN GET COMFORTABLE, LAY IN BED, WATCH TV ON THE LEFT AND WEBB ON THE RIGHT. READING BORES ME TO SLEEP ALONG WITH THE NINETY EIGHT PERCENT USELESS INFORMATION. THE WORLD WOULD NOT BE AS INTERESTING IF EVERONE DROVE A WHITE CAR.
Response:
HEY BOB ON WEB TV. I HAVE THREE COMPUTERS HOOKED TO THE INTERNET BUT I CANNOT LAY DOWN IN BED LIKE I CAN WITH WEB TV. TRY THAT WITH A COMPUTER. I SUSPECT AS SOON AS I GET DSL OR CABLE I MIGHT TRY A WIRELESS KEYBOARD AND A COMPUTER.

Years ago I used to take a full size tower and 19" screen with me everywhere. Sure was a drag but being a computer nerd… Now I have a laptop and carry it everywhere. — Good fishing, Richard L. B3, I am not trying to disturb anything here and I now have no problem with BB’s cap’s since I heard his reason. In fact, BB & I have shared some great private correspondence since then. I simply asked a reasonable question because I was totally unimformed about Web TV, because I had never heard anything at all good about it. I am a very curious person, and am never afraid to ask questions. Merry Christmas to all of you good people, — Bob Rickard SECRET WEAPON — World’s absolute finest spinnerbaits! Bob- sorry didn’t mean to imply that you were. My statement: "> Let’s give him some slack, guys, and welcome him in" Was generally directed to everyone on the group. I say this particular thread has run on long enough. Time for us all to get back to talkin’ fishin’!! Too cotton-pickin’ cold here today to fish. 0
