tattoo coverup pics
Question:
Well, I posted a question a few weeks ago about tattoo healing stuff for a cover-up I was getting done. One or two people asked for pics so I said I’d get them when the tattoo was finished since I only had the outlining done last time. So here is the final thing. First pic is the original tattoo and is an old crappy webcam shot. The next two are the final cover-up using a digital camera. It’s actually not really quite finished, the artist wants me to come back in a couple of months so she can add a little detail to one item and also to take care of any other touch-up work. Fine by me since the first touch-up is free. I’ll post the website for the tattoo shop at the end. Some samples of the artist’s work is under the "Andi" link on the site. Almost forgot to mention, my roommate took the pics of the new one and the flash overpowered the dragon’s head, it actually is NOT a mass of white junk like that. I just noticed that and will have to get a new picture. Charles

Was married, my ex designed the original and we both had it, it had our names and the wedding date. When she screwed me over and left I no longer wanted to see the tattoo. Charles

*I understand. This is the precise reason I will never ever get anything in/on my skin not strictly related to me. Humans don’t fit the category. Only concepts or images I choose. My birthday is coming and I’m gonna commemorate _myself_ with a little _personal_ ink _I’ve_ been planning for a few years

Hmm, well how would you feel if you found out the person you thought you married didn’t really exist and the relationship was based on lies? Besides, I want to work things out, she didn’t, so fuck her. Charles

Thanks, at least I can honestly say I’ve learned from my mistakes and while I will be more cautious next time……I’ve also decided to do my best not to let what happened taint my next/future relationships. Charles

It’s a pity you had ‘learn’ the hard way… We just about guarantee someone getting a name or ’shared’ tattoo with girl/boy friend or even spouse will be getting it covered up within 10 years. The only safe things are dead people, parents, and kids. Myself, i just can’t get around the idea of lettering on my body, so i’m getting a nifty portrait of my daughter (in her Elf disguise)… sometime. I"m also considering this really cool long-necked cat she draws all the time. But i’m not sure where i’d put it. Decisions, decisions. TQ

Funny, i floated that as a possibility. It would be cool, but i don’t know if i really want to do the whole foot thing. BUT, then again, i don’t really want it on my arm, either. So. I think i’ll have her draw one with marker on my foot so i can see what it’s like and wear it for a while. :) TQ

Silly me, I was speculating that was the work Nina Rose did for you. Since I never get to SEE pics of your tattoos, I can only IMAGINE where they are. Aside from the backpiece, of course. Difference seen. fr0glet

Got it. Sometimes I wish I could simplify my life in such a way. Heh. BTW, did I mention that I passed the RI Tattoo Licensing exam last week and I am Rhode Island’s newest licensed artist? I’m sure you’re all thrilled and stuff. :) — Eric S.

*Yes, yeah Eric! It’s great to hear there’s another one who’s actually educated, who knows what an autoclave looks like, is nice and has reasoning skills. I wish you a good career with a reasonable income. Oh, btw avoid drunk models

Thanks Corine! :) Reasonable income would be nice. Hehe. I’ll make sure to avoid the drunks. :P — Eric S.
