I wanted to share what I got for Christmas from my hubby… He bought me property on the MOON! I’m not kidding!! 1700 acres of MOONSCAPE!! My "neighbors" include the Regans and the Roddenberrys (Star Trek type Roddenberrys) We love to look at the moon here when the skies are clear. We often sit in the hot tub and look at the moon. We absolutely LOVE a full moon, and will risk heatstroke in the hot tub ;oO for those extra coupla minutes. here is the link.. the story behind it is amazing!! http://www.moonshop.com/ Uv

I have been on roller skates twice in my lifetime. Both times I ended up with an arm in a sling. I have never and will never be on ice skates. Hi, Kelly! Oh, that’s brave..I wouldn’t even try it. Got yer card today..thanx! Mumble, grumble grr at my local Post Office. The best thing I got I gave…a wireless intercom system. -) No more yelling for hubby or the pass-along "Dad!! Mom wants ya!!!". Of COURSE we put an intercom in the bathroom, aka Dad’s Library.
Oldest son is visiting up north with his Dad, who gave us a BIG on-line gift certificate. Thank Heavens for ex-spouses who are still good friends. They are a blessing, fersure. We haven’t gotten son’s gift yet, since he returns on New Year’s nite. Anybuddy know if you can order a guinea pig from Amazon.com? <giggles> Hoping all have a happy and reduced-pain last week of the year! Kelly, you go girl!!!! DD will teach you everything you need to know. <g> Roller skates/blades have never been my "thing". My two "things" of choice were ice skating and karate. I had to give them both up because of my chronic, ongoing, severe, etc. hip bursitis. Also, the last time I tore up my ankle was the last time I skated. I miss them both, but mostly the karate. Now, I lean towards couch/computer potatoism (though I do the stationary bike "thing"). — Di Diane_Abell at msn dot com http://loveyourmother.homestead.com

I didn’t get skates — my knees can’t handle them yet. But I did get a digital camera! See? http://www.prado.com/~iris/images/mary_casey2.jpg And tell me if this isn’t love. Casey gave me a **comfy** bra in the right size from decentexposures.com, rather than an underwirey, pokey thing that’d look more elegant. Romance, gotta love it

What a lovely couple. HeeHee, my sister told she me wanted bras and panties for Christmas too. So I got her some. The bra was snake-skin print with matching see-through snake-skin undies. She turned beat read as I, in my most inocent voice proclamed: "But you said that’s what you wanted". Her boyfriend thanked my though. i loved the pix of you guys! but i have to tell you what my stepdaughter, caitlin, gave all of us. she’d bought each of us a lottery ticket and gave each of us a penny to rub off the numbers with. link, my son-in-law began to pale as he scratched away. he asked someone else to look at his card. sure enough, he had scratched off 3 "$10,000’s" in a row on a card that said, if you had 3 matching figures, you won that amount! we were all going crazy with joy. then he turned the card over to see how to redeem it and it read (paraphrasing) "you can redeem this card within 30 seconds of scratching it at yo’ mamma’s house after filling out a form brought to you by the tooth fairy." whoa, i woulda killed caitlin if i’d been link, but he was a good sport about it. diane

Donna, www.decentexposures.com makes great bras. That’s what Casey got me. They’re soft, so they aren’t the kind that give "perfect" shape under clothing, but they’re fairly supportive. The look kind of expensive ($30-$40 depending on fabric, size, and style) but they last forever, even with machine washing and drying. And the service is great — they pay for shipping, they have very low cost resizing in case you get smaller (not much they can do for enlargement), and if you get it and it doesn’t fit, you send it back and tell them *how* it doesn’t fit, and they tailor it. I live in them, whenever possible. . Mary MacTavish http://www.prado.com/~iris

Hello everyone!! I hope you are all doing well and enjoyed/are enjoying the revelry. I just had to share what my favorite gift was this year. I asked for and received rollerblades and all the armor that goes with them. My DD, who is almost 6, asked for some also and I thought this would be a fun way for me to get some exercise, fresh air, occasional sunshine and maybe lose a few pounds. What I forgot was that I haven’t skated in about 15 years and I haven’t ice-skated in about 20. The DD and I dutifully donned our protective equipment right down to the elbow, knee, wrist pads and helmets. We carefully eased our way down the driveway and staggered down the street. She insisted that we go all the way around the block (luckily all the neighbors were away) before returning home to get ready for dinner with Grandma. Well, things were going okay, the two of us giggling and swaying around until I got a bit ahead of her and Rachel screeched for me to wait up. I turned to see how far back she was, one foot went east, the other went west and the next thing I knew I was looking up at the beautiful blue sky while taking a mental inventory of anything that might hurt really bad. Luckily nothing was bruised but my pride. And now it kind of hurts to sit on it. The moral of the story is…35-year-old women who can hardly stand on their own two feet really have no business trying to walk on wheels. But if they do they should at least wear really good elbow pads. I wish I had a tape of me trying to get back up on those wheels. I had to roll over onto my knees, brace one skate against the curb and very carefully push myself into an upright position. We came right home after that. Hugs to all, Kelly;o)
