Oregon/Washington Lunch

Question:

I was able to get Newport Bay Restaurant to take a reservation and we have an area to ourselves.  The reservation is at 1:00 on Sunday, Feb. 23rd in my name.  I made it for ten people with no idea how many are actually coming. Could we do a quick headcount?? — DeLores Wilson Hillsboro, OR http://www.fototime.com/inv/00F6BB4C3FD0447

ME! And KaeKae is coming, but spending the weekend with her parents in OR previous so won’t be driving down with me. I may be able to bring my gimp friend Cheryl, if she’s feeling well enough. Her health is REALLLY precarious lately. I was counting on you Mary Z.  We are now up to 7!  Also, the gal in the Gorge plans to be there also.  After that I got fuzzy on who was coming. Anyone else?  Don’t we have someone in Vancouver area also?? — DeLores Wilson Hillsboro, OR

Sorry I’m just enjoying this -30 weather on the east coast; regrettably I won’t be able to make it. Bruce — Success is not in never falling, but in rising every time you fall

Dang, Bruce!  We will miss you but I can understand that your weather is just something we can’t compete with out here.  Where are you on the east coast?  I have a daughter and family who moved to Maryland last summer and are thoroughly enjoying the endless snow there.  I assume their fascination will wear off eventually.  Temps today here in Oregon were in the 50s along with some much needed rain.  lol — DeLores Wilson Hillsboro, OR

Next Sunday it is!  I am so excited about finally getting to meet some of you!!!!  Looks like we will have 7 or 8 but I have just left the reservation for 10 of us, just in case anyone else wants to join us.  I will definitely bring my digital camera so brace yourselves!  :-)  A gaggle of redheads it — DeLores Wilson Hillsboro, OR

I even planned ahead and came down with a horrible head cold this week, so I wouldn’t have to worry about it for next week. Seriously, today is the first day in about 3 where I felt like I could breathe through the front of my head. I am so looking forward to having lunch with the ‘reds’ that I almost considered coloring my hair again.LOL  I don’t use permanent color anymore, so you’ll have to see me with my usual mousy brown, tinged with grey. I will also have digital camera in hand. Kelly C.;o)

How thoughtful of you Kelly to get your cold out of the way.  :-)  Glad you are feeling better. — DeLores Wilson Hillsboro, OR

I cannot wait!!! *giggle* I told my friend Jaime that the majority of us are redheads and he said "oh god, that is DANGEROUS!"  (his gf is also a redhead) but then he tagged on "but then again most of you redheads are all talk anyway" the little brat. I’ll show him who’s all talk. If we didn’t work together I’d show that boy some ACTION…… ;-> Erm… anyway. Yeah. I think we’ll have a blast, and that restaurant had better look out! A passle of redheads IS danger! Aim

A good Plan B.  My philosophy was always to let a fella know the door was open – if he didn’t want to do aything about it that’s his loss, but at least I tried! — Nann remove the Gator cheer to email me "To array a man’s will against his sickness is the supreme art of medicine." …Henry Ward Beecher

Of COURSE you can!!!! Hop a flight! C’mon out! Portland or bust! Just think, Harv and Larry must be sitting there drooling right about now, thinking about so many redheads in one place ;-> Aim

Now Kelly I don’t remember mousy brown hair, I a beautiful full head of hair, even with mtx!  Well, I am definitely not a red head… sometimes fiery, but I have my usual dark brown hair (thanks to my hair dresser for a little color help) .  I am looking forward to meeting you all, nothing like a NW mini gimpfest!  For Sunday the forecast is chance of rain with temps in the 50s how appropriate for the NW gimp clan gathering. — MZ Visit my website: http://www.mzuschlag.com

I am sad to report that the female pattern baldness that runs on my dad’s side of the family has befallen my beautiful, thick head of hair over the last several years. It is much thinner and finer than it was just 5 years ago. Very sad. Kelly C.:o(

Hey, I’m the "gal in the Gorge" and do plan to come down.  I might have my son Andy with me but I expect him to head for the mall rather than hang with us babes.  He is wanting to drive in Portland so I thought this would be a good way to get an idea whether he is ready for that.  He’ll be driving, so my hair may turn gray before we get there! See you Sunday. K.C.

>> the little brat. I’ll show him who’s all talk. If we didn’t work together > I’d show that boy some ACTION…… ;-> > What about that H*O*T technician where you just had a test?

Him too. *grin* I actually tried to do the "I lost an earring in the exam room" trick when I went back to my GP for my annual the following week, since it’s in the same building as the echo lab. But the old bat who was manning the reception desk in cardio wouldn’t let me past her desk to "go check the room" even with her supervision, so that I could "accidentally" bump into that tech and give him my card. Dammit. Plan B is to call Cardio and ask the name of the nice young man who did my test so that I can send in a compliment card on him…. then I will send him a Thank-You note "for making a dull procedure interesting by teaching me about my heart," and include my business card in it, with my home phone on the back. And I’ll make sure to label it confidential on the outside so it doesn’t get picked up and the business card lost by some nosy administrator… *grin* Aim, always scheming…
