Hey Juls, Love the pics :) I MUST know where you got the squngee from.  My dad loves to feed the squirrles in his yard and he would absolutely love one.  Of course, my parents have an outside cat…nah.  He’s too fat and well fed to actually catch a squirrel :) Holly

LOL, I’m planning on buying some for Christmas gifts this year. This thing is fun. I actually bought mine at Wildlife Unlimited which carries bird feed and such things, but they do have a website and you can order online. They’re about 15 dollars. (They also have one on the website that is "deluxe" with a bell to let you know you have visitors, and it has two corn things) http://www.squngee.com/ At the store, they also sold corn ears in bags of ten for 2.99. At the rate these squirrels are going, I may have to go once a week and replenish! If you get one, they say to put a dab of peanut butter at the top of the ear of corn to get them started – I did that and had squirrels within ten minutes. Since then, no more peanut butter, and they have apparently told their friends. Free corn! Juls

haha, what’s funny is every time he goes to the vet, they remark about his size, and then the vet says "Oh, he’s very big boned." Every time. I actually have him on a new diet of Hill’s and pumpkin and he’s lost a POUND! But I don’t think his dewlap is bone. It nearly hangs to the floor and my mom said she was going to get him a roller skate for his big belly. LOL Juls

Hey everybody, Since moving to town (and turning a country cat into a city boy), I bought a bird feeder for the first time. I’ve had so much fun with it, and so has Dmitri – he LOVES watching the birds. Then the squirrels came and started getting in the bird feeder, but they were so cute, I decided to feed them too. (Yes, people call me Elly Mae Clampett all the time) So I bought this thing called a squngee and it’s a bungee cord kind of thing with an ear of corn attached. The squirrel hops on and it’s fun to watch. But word got out, and at one point, I had three squirrels visiting and eating on that ear of corn. (Actually, since I put it up Sunday, they’ve now eaten three full ears) Anyway, I also bought a digital camera, always enjoying everyone’s kitty photo albums so much, and made one too. Just getting started, but I’ve enjoyed Dmitri’s reaction to the squirrels. He has had so much fun sitting in his window watching them, and now they chatter back and forth, and he chats back. They seem to know that he won’t be pouncing through the window and just eat and watch him. So my big old boy now has his own photo album, and I guess I’ll just load it up with cat and squirrel pictures. LOL. I’m having a blast with it, and if it brings a smile to someone’s face during these trying times, then it’s done its job. Thank you to everyone who shares their cat pictures…I enjoy them so much. And now I’m joining the bandwagon! http://www.ect.org/birdcam/pix/gallery.cgi?Category=100000 Juls

You definitely brought a smile to my face! Thank you, what cuties – Dmitri and the squirrels. I loved the "wide load" shot and the reference to being "big-boned". I like to call my 16 lb black pudgekin "robust" … :) Karen M.
