>Baby #1: Jet black little boy, very very sweet! The little guy was purring >up a storm earlier!
I got one for this. When we first got our little kitten (jet black with bright green eyes), it was the first time i’d ever had one. So i could’t believe it when people told me that kittens (being so tiny) could possibly be any trouble. (i imagine most of you are ROTFL at my naivete). I didn’t like the "midnites, blackie, et al suggestions" so after spending a long time looking for a name that fit my kitty’s personality (troublemaker), i named her "trouble". It just fit her too well. The funny thing is that i look back and think, "had I known she’d grow into her name, i’d have named her something like "never-poops" or "sleeps-at-nite"! >Baby #2: Black with little white tips on her paws and a little white spot on >her chest! Hmmm, I don’tknow if OREO is too cliche but the way you describe her she sounds like a minature warrior, so how’s about "Xena- warrior kitty" – Protect Mommy from the evil butterflies! ; ) >Baby #3: Gray Tabby MANX!!! Good for you. You deserve a *huge* pat on the back for having the compassion to save these little ones. Good luck in the future when trying to find good permanent homes for them- that is even harder to do than finding names for the lil critters
(which is a difficult task itself, I know- it took me a few weeks to find names for most of mine). > How could I say no to that??? SO, now I have to find names for them! Here > are the descriptions: > Baby #1: Jet black little boy, very very sweet! The little guy was purring > up a storm earlier!
Maybe guiness?? Always liked that name and it’s perfect for an all black male (i.e. dark like the irish ale). > Baby #2: Black with little white tips on her paws and a little white spot on > her chest! Very cute!

Yes, that’s a good idea. It’s great to hear that you’re very concerned about your cat’s health issues!
As for a name, perhaps lynx? A friend of mine has a no tail female cat (she’s not a manx, it’s a result of animal abuse from it’s previous owner) and it’s very fitting for her. Of course she also has those cute little tuffs of hair coming off the tip of her ears and her cheeks. > Anyway, I have a digital camera… so if you want to see them e-mail me and > I’ll send you a pic!

I haven’t had this much fun in rec.pets.cats for some time! OT: A few years back I was part of a group of four friends, one of whom would have us rolling on the floor by talking nonsense in a "duck" voice (sounded kind of like after you inhale some helium). She called her "duck alter ego" Ducky, so the rest of us became Lucky, Plucky, and, yes, Fucky! (I’m not going to divulge which one was me…) Anita

At the last place I use to live, there was a cat that use to hang out around my apartment. She had a very short tail so I started calling her Stumpy. Before I moved she was sporting a new collar with her name on it, Lily, but I kept calling her Stumpy cause it just fit so nice and she didn’t seem to mind. good luck with the new kitties! Midnight, Shadow, and Ebony spring first to mind. Storm and Tornado would also work with reference to the purring Storm is obvious and tornadoes roar and come out of black clouds. I think my preference from the description given would be Tornado. > Baby #2: Black with little white tips on her paws and a little white spot on > her chest! Very cute!
Much harder, description is not as useful and without a personality stated even harder. This one is really difficult and only one name comes up and I don’t think it would fit. The name that does come up is Wallflower could be shortened to Flower but I don’t think the name really suits a cat of any type. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> Anyway, I have a digital camera… so if you want to see them e-mail me and > I’ll send you a pic! > Gee, the head count is up to 14 now!

I’ll give a stab at a few names look down by the descriptions. I tend to name by appearance and personality and not seeing them doesn’t help. Larry Osborne

If the white spots are tiny as suggested the only name that comes to mind is Star. > Baby #3: Gray Tabby MANX!!! This little girl is a serious rumpy! No tail at > all!
