Anyone have experiance with both of these amps? I play a band that plays AC/DC and SRV Tunes along with zz top and hendrix etc. heh thanks charlie

Tough call – JCM900 for versatility, 1987x for sheer TONE. JohnF

How loud do you play? If you play really loud you should take 1987 it breaks up beautifully and AC/DC use them! Douglas

hey I don’t know what my amp is? Marshall say its a 1959 and someone else says its a 1987. I bought it as a 1987 but it has a gold grille which indicates its 100 watts(from Marshall) Douglas

How do I know which valves are which and what type? Douglas

OK has 3 small valves 2x Edicron ECC83 1x Marshall ECC83 2 big Valves – unnamed 3 big blue things with Daly on them (What are these?) Are these the wrong valves? Douglas
