Help with 92 Plymouth Grand Voyager

Question:

I have a ‘problem’ with the environmental control system.  When I accelerate moderate hard, the air flow gets directed from vent to defrost.  When I stop accelerating, the air flow is normal. Any ideas as to what’s up?

Take a look at the one-way check valve. It’s on a thin vacuum line that goes from the brake booster to the firewall. It looks like a black plastic 35mm film can. Make sure the lines are plugged firmly into the valve and the right angle adapter. I secured mine with small ty-raps and the problem went away. If that doesn’t help, replace the valve (it’s cheap). —

Response:

where did you find the valve, I have checked with 5 stores now. I haven’t changed mine, but I would assume it’s a dealer-only part.
